Before we delve into online trading and how to contact a forex broker, you need
to know a few basic concepts and terminology in the online forex broker trading market. Some
of the terms will probably be new to you and sometimes the currency pairs are
quoted in different ways and you need to know how they'll look so that you won't
get mixed up. The second you learn all the essential information, you may begin
trading in the forex market.
Your forex broker will probably ask you first thing if you know the two
basic forex concepts
The first one is that the first currency in a pair is known as
the base currency and the second basic concept is that it's value is always 1.
The US Dollar is generally the base currency. For example: USD/JPY 110.02, which
means that 1 US dollar is equal to 110.02 Japanese Yen. pretty simple, no? This
is the basics of online forex broker trading and from here on it only becomes simpler. Where'd
you put that Bourbon? Pour yourself another glass, because we're on the road to
riches!
There is one more thing (among the many) that I want you to know right here and
now
The psychology of forex trading is critical for your continual success. You
need to understand that losses are a part of the forex trading game, and if you go into a
fetal position every time you suffer a loss, then it wont be long before you
need to commit yourself into a psychological ward. Furthermore if you have been
through a loosing streak then you should probably take a break, so that you
don’t just fall into your loosing pattern and so that when you come back you can
see the big picture again.
You should also learn discipline. A winning streak doesn’t mean that the forex
now caters
To your every whim; it means that you’re lucky. And, you don’t want
the one time your luck goes sewer to be when you have placed your farm up as a
sale. Stick to what you know, not to what the online forex trading market gives you. Although the US dollar is generally the base currency there are other currencies
which are sometimes also the base currency, such as the Euro, the British pound
or the Australian pound. These may also appear as base currencies and this is
perfectly common
