When I tried to login, I received an error message saying – "Wrong login name or password".
First, make sure you are logging into the appropriate account (demo or real version) login, depending on which type of account you requested. Second, make sure you are typing your User Name and Password exactly as shown in the e-mail that you received, as they are case-sensitive. If you are still experiencing difficulties, please contact our (Customer Support Team).
The following are several common errors:
Solution 1: Your username and password are case sensitive, make sure “Caps Lock” is not turned on, and try again.
Solution 2: You have mistakenly pressed the "space bar" at the end or at the beginning of the username or the password. Delete both and try again.
Solution 3: If you are connected to the Internet through an office network, this could be an office firewall issue. Please contact your system administrator.

When I tried to login I received an error message saying "Java.Lang.ClassNotFoundException:Hello.HelloApplet".
You may have had a temporary loss of your internet connection to our servers, and the page displaying the error message is now cached. There are two possible solutions:
1) Delete your temporary internet files (in your web browser go to Tools->Internet Options->Delete Files->Delete all offline content), close all browsers, then re-open your browser window and try again, or
2) Login using the windows-based Software, which can be downloaded here.
(Download AvaTrader Now). This software does not use Java and you will not encounter any such errors.

When I attempt to download or login to the Ava Trading Platform, the Browser window keeps closing.
Click on your "Start" button and select "Windows Update" (this will take you to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) and then "Product Updates". Download any "Critical Updates" from the Microsoft web page. Also make sure you are using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.

I am trying to access AvaTrader through my Corporate Office which has firewalls in place – and I am not able to do so.
Most corporations use firewalls, so if you are using our system from a corporate location and it is not functioning (e.g., you cannot access the relevant pages), your network administrator will need to open the following ports:

What are the recommended PC requirements for me to use Ava Trader.
The recommended PC requirements are:
Computer: Intel Pentium IV 3.0GHz, 512 MB RAM, or higher
Monitor: min. 800x600 pixals.
Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP
Web browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.X
Internet connection: broadband 1.5 MB download speed, 256 KB upload speed (minimum: 128 KB download/upload)
Note: Systems that do not meet these requirements may inhibit functionality.

I am able to see the Dealing Rates Tables but do not see any data or rate feed.
There are two possible solutions to this problem:
Solution 1: Some anti-adware and anti-spyware programs are known to block XML web service – a method we use to communicate between the server and the client. In this case, please close the Avafx web page and add http://www.avafx.com to the “trusted sites”* in your Internet Options.
This is done by the following way: Go to Start->Settings->Control panel->Internet options. Click on the Security tab, mark the "Trusted Sites" and click on "Sites". At the "Add this website to this zone", write http://www.avafx.com and click OK. Solution 2: If you are connected to the Internet through an office network, this could be an office firewall issue. Please contact your system administrator.

The time that is shown in the Charts and the Financial Indicator pages is wrong.
The time in both theses pages is defined according to your time zone. Please make sure your time zone settings are correct. Double click on the clock at the right bottom of your screen, and go to “Time Zone”. Select your time zone, go back to “Date & time”, set the correct time, and click OK.

What is the difference between the download version and the JAVA no download version of AvaTrader?
The download version of AvaTrader has several more options as it is a windows-based application and as such is our recommended option. However the JAVA version does not require any download and is often very useful when you are not in front of your personal PC. Also in some countries where internet connections are slow the JAVA version may provide a faster connection.

I am unable to connect to the AvaTrader Platform.
When you log in, a small loading window should appear in order to launch the platform. There may be a number of reasons why you may not be able to see the window or the window may appear but the loading bar does not move:
1) Do you have popup blocking software? Popup blocking software will not allow the trading platform to load. Please deactivate this software to allow pop-ups from www.avafx.com and Ava Trader.
2) AvaJava is Java based; therefore Java must be enabled in order for the window to appear. If you have an older version of Java (older than 1.4), you may need to update Java. To install Java, please visit Sun's Java web site.
3) Your Internet browser cache may be corrupted. Please use our instructions on how to clear your Java cache.
4) Are you behind a Firewall? The trading platform will only operate if the firewall will allow HTTP requests and connections to us on Ports 80 and 9700. You should enable your firewall to let the trading platform access these ports.

When opening AvaTrader, System Error Code: 32 the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

This error message can occur when the Nod32 Anti-virus is installed on your computer.
To solve this issue you need to exclude the AvaTrader directory from the nod32 software
a. Locate the nod32 icon on the Taskbar
b. Left click on the nod32 icon located on the Taskbar
c. Click on the AMON located in the Threat Protection Modules and then click on the Setup option on the right side.

d. In the AMON setup press on exclusions and then press “add”

e. In the “object to exclude from scanning” window choose folder then press on the folder button below
f. In the Browse for Folder window, locate the AvaTrader dir (default location is: c:\Program Files\AvaTrader) choose the directory and then press ok

g. in the “AMON setup” you will see the directory chosen, then press OK

Now open the AvaTrader platform.
